Erasmus + first visit to Italy this year
Today is the end of a fantastic week full of emotions and cultural experiences for teachers from the Third Primary School “Bratya Miladinovi”. The visit to Italy was part of the resumed activities and mobility under the international project “Erasmus +” K229 – “Don’t be cyberbully, be aware”, previously postponed due to the epidemic.
The first mobility for this year took place in the Italian city of Brindisi. The aim of the project is to raise the awareness of students, parents and teachers on this important global problem on the Internet, as well as the skills to deal with it; promoting and improving communication in English with European partners, as well as students’ digital competence. The project coordinators is Italy (Brindisi) and the partners are Turkey, Portugal, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria.
Teachers Ms. Tuparova – Project Coordinator for Bulgaria, and Ms. Shtrankova visited a school from I to VII grade, where a workshop was held on “How, when and how often students were attacked in the Internet, how they found that have been subjected to cyberbullying, with whom have they shared and what are the possible consequences of not sharing this problem with parents? ”. The students were divided into studios – graffiti, theater and information technology. Students from another school (1st-4th grade) presented a fencing lesson. Teachers also attended Italian language classes to discuss the implications of communicating with strangers online and what’s up groups between students.
The days spent in Italy were filled with many adventures for both students and teachers – exploring the city of Bari, a boat trip on the Mediterranean, a visit to the historic center of Brindisi, Alfonsino Castle, museums and cathedrals. This was followed by a visit to cities with diverse and interesting architecture – Alberobello, Polignano, Ostuni, Mezania. The last stop was in Lecce – a city with indescribable Baroque architecture. And children from kindergarten presented traditional Italian dances.
Thanks to Manuela Saponaro and Francesca Carlucci, who made this adventure possible and unforgettable.
