Fourth graders and their teachers returned from mobility in Romania

The last mobility under the project “Don’t be cyberbully, be aware” finished in the city of Caracal, Romania last week, with the participation of nine students from IV B grade with their English teacher Mrs. V. Tuparova (coordinator of the project) and Mrs. M. Djalova.
After the official welcome of all the guests by the host school in the city of Karakal, we visited a local high school and the town hall. The second day of the visit coincided with Europe Day – May 9th, and what better way to celebrate it than to find yourself in Sibiu, Transylvania – Capital of Culture for 2007, along with Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Romanian and the Turkish friends involved in the project? Next was a visit to the National Museum Complex”Astra”, the old town and the “Kozya” monastery. On the third day, we headed to the city of Craiova, where we visited the National Theater, the university, the botanical garden, the city art museum and enjoyed the beautiful buildings of the old town. The next day, after a long trip to the town of Tarnu Severin, we visited an interesting museum, an aquarium and archaeological excavations on the banks of the Danube. We took pictures in front of the rock with the Decebalus sculpture, from where wonderful landscapes towards Serbia are revealed. On the last, fifth day, all partners gathered at the host school “G. Mageru’. The students presented their poems about cyberbullying and safe behavior on the Internet. They received their certificates, then it was the turn of the moment of farewell, hugs and tears of parting.
It was a wonderful week for us, filled with pleasant activities, meetings, impressions and excursions. We thank the families for their friendly attitude and warm welcome to our students, for the surprises and the varied program!
Special thanks also to the funny and always smiling Romanian colleague Aurel Boruz!
