The last mobility Common heritage from tradition to future- ERASMUS+
The last, fifth mobility was completed under the project “Common heritage – from tradition to future” under the “Erasmus +” program in the city of Mersin, Turkey. The countries that took part in it are: Bulgaria (coordinator), Croatia, Romania, Greece and Turkey.
The group of the Third Primary School was represented by five fourth-graders – Radostina Nikolova, Ivana Hrisimova, Georgiya Ikonomova, Violeta Fakova and Danai Gospodev, and their supervisors Mrs. V. Tuparova (coordinator) and Mrs. E. Tsenkina.
On the first day of the visit, the official welcome of the participants took place at the “Ednan Menderes Ortaokulu” school. Later, the traditional children’s games for each country were presented. For lunch, the participants supported themselves with traditional Turkish gozleme, prepared by local women. In the House of Magical Tales, children and their teachers painted on sea stone and learned about traditional Turkish coffee culture.
On the third day, the participants went to the sights of the beautiful region of Cappadocia – the underground city of Derinkuyu, the UNESCO-listed Goreme National Park with bizarre rock formations called “fairy chimneys”, churches and dwellings. The participants visited Jurgup, Üçhisar and Zelve. They also stopped by a traditional workshop for making ceramic works, having the opportunity to sit behind the potter’s wheel.
The next day, the participants enjoyed the sea in the area of Tashuchu. During the boat tour, the children had the opportunity to cool off by swimming in the beautiful turquoise waters. The five days we spent in the Turkish city of Mersin were extremely saturated with a variety of activities, experiences and emotions.
We want to give special thanks to the school director Mr. Ali Ugur and to the coordinator Mr. Mustafa Hussain!
Thank you dear friends!
